Kaz had required coercion to be pulled from bed, when he was younger. Now he just has the sweet promise of coffee to offset his initial reluctance to speak or interact with anyone when he first wakes up. ]
That would make more sense if we lived somewhere that actually saw the sun more than ten days a year.
[ Being an island, Kerch suffered strange weather blowing in from the ocean all the time. Ketterdam, located on its coast, saw quite a bit of fog and clouds, punctuated frequently by storms. ]
It makes for a decent alarm to tell me to go to bed, at least.
